This writ petition has been filed challenging the order, dated Nil, passed by the first respondent, appointing the third respondent as Mini Anganwadi Worker.

2. According to the petitioner, she also applied for the said post pursuant to the recruitment notification. However, under the impugned order, the third respondent was illegally appointed as Mini Anganwadi Worker, as according to her, despite the fact that the third respondent did not complete the age of 25 years, she was appointed. As per the recruitment notification, only the persons aged between 25 years to 35 years are eligible to be appointed as Mini Anganwadi Worker.

3. A counter affidavit has been filed by the official respondents denying the contentions of the petitioner as they would submit that the third

respondent had the eligible age to be appointed to the post of Mini Anganwadi Worker at the time of her appointment.

4. Learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the official respondents has also placed on record the higher secondary mark sheet of the third respondent, which discloses that the third respondent was born on 27.07.1986 and hence, she was aged above 25 years and therefore, having been selected based on merit, she was appointed as Mini Anganwadi Worker.

5. In view of the same, it is clear that only by following the terms and conditions of the recruitment notification, the third respondent was appointed as Anganwadi Worker. Hence, there is no merit in this writ petition. Accordingly, this writ petition is dismissed. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed. 30.08.2024 NCC :
