Prayer : Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the 1st respondent to cancel the patta numbers in 747, 758, 765 of Viralipatti Village and Patta number in 2265 of Thavasimadai Village, Dindigul East Taluk, Dindigul District and restore the patta number 124 in S. Nos.58/1B2 with an extent of 0.01.50 Ares and 58/1B3 with an extent of 0.28.50 Ares of Viralipatti Village and Patta No.724 in S. No. 73/1 with an extent of 0.88.00 Ares of Thavsimadai Village, Dindigul East Taluk, Dindigul District into the name of the petitioners father namely Innasi, Son of Savarimuthu.

ORDER

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader for the respondents 1 to 3 & 8th. Considering the relief to be granted, issuance of notice to the respondents 4 to 7 is dispensed with. 2.The petitioner is aggrieved by the mutation of petition mentioned patta. He seeks restoration of his name. The petitioner is permitted to lodge a formal appeal before the eighth respondent within thirty days from the date of receipt of copy of this order. If such appeal is filed, the same will be 2/4

entertained without reference to limitation. The eighth respondent shall hold enquiry, issue notice to all the interested persons and pass final order on merits and in accordance with law within a period of three months thereafter. I make it clear that I have not gone into the merits of the matter. 3.This writ petition is disposed of accordingly.
