The prayer sought for in this Writ Petition has now become infructuous in view of the fact that as seen from the proceedings of the Director General of Police dated 04.05.2021, the name of the petitioner has been included in the 'C' List of SIs (Taluk) fit for promotion as Inspector of Police (Taluk) for the year 2017-2018.

3. After recording the said fact, this Writ Petition is dismissed as infructous. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
