PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the second respondent to send a original medical bill to the 4th respondent consequently the fourth respondent to provide Medical reimbursement Rs.4,59,437/- (Rupees Four Lakhs Fifty Nine Thousand and Four Hundred and Thirty Seven only) to the petitioner towards the medical expenses incurred for the treatment of Covid-19 as per G.O.(Ms) No.165 Finance (Health Insurance) Department dated 01.06.2022.

The present Writ Petition has been filed seeking a mandamus directing the respondents 2 and 4 herein to disburse the Medical benefits as per New Health Insurance Scheme for the employees. The petitioner had undergone treatment for Covid-19 under the New Health Insurance Scheme and he has submitted all the details to the second respondent herein. The second respondent had forwarded the same to the fourth respondent on 29.07.2022. 2/5
In turn, the fourth respondent had returned the papers and had sought for further particulars to the second respondent herein on 28.09.2022. Annexing the original medical records, the petitioner had submitted a letter to the second respondent on 21.10.2022.
2. Based upon the said original records submitted by the writ petitioner, the second respondent has forwarded all the original records to the fourth respondent herein for disbursal. As on today, the application seeking Medical reimbursement is pending before the fourth respondent herein for the past 10 months.
3. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 to 3 and the learned counsel appearing for the fourth respondent.
4. Considering the above said facts, this Court directs the fourth respondent herein to dispose of the said application on merits and in accordance with law within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above said observations, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
