O R D E R

The present writ petition has been filed by a Grade - II Constable seeking a mandamus directing the respondents to pay the monetary benefits contributed by him, during his service, considering the representation of the writ petitioner, dated 01.08.2023.

2. Admittedly, the petitioner is a member of Contributory Pension Scheme and he was dismissed from service as Grade -II Constable on 25.06.2018. The petitioner has not challenged the said order of dismissal. The petitioner has sent a representation to the respondents on 01.08.2023 seeking to release the contribution made by him towards Contributory Pension Scheme. Since the said request was not responded, the present writ petition has been filed.

3. There is no representation on the side of the writ petitioner. 2/5

The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents brought to the notice of this Court that on 03.11.2023, the Joint Commissioner of Southern Region has already addressed a communication to the writ petitioner on 03.11.2023 to approach the concerned office with filled up forms for the disbursal of the amount in the Contributory Pension Scheme.

5. Therefore, the question of issuing mandamus to the authorities would not arise. The petitioner is directed to approach the concerned authorities with relevant documents for disbursal of the said amount.

6. Recording the same, this Writ Petition stands closed. There shall be no order as to costs.
