By this Writ Petition, the petitioner seeks a direction for the disbursement of the compensation awarded for the petitioner's land in S.F.No.457/1A28, admeasuring 2160 Square feet, situated at Ayan Pappakudi Village, Madurai South Taluk, Madurai district without insisting on original documents by accepting certified copies thereof.
2. The petitioner's father, the late Ramasamy, purchased an extent of 20 cents in Survey No.457/1 from the Meenakshi Cooperative Building Society Limited. Out of the larger extent of 20 cents, he settled 2160 sq.ft. in favour of the petitioner under settlement deed dated 31.12.2004.
3. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that compensation is not being paid to the petitioner on the ground that the petitioner has failed to produce the original deed of indenture dated 13.03.1963 and original settlement deed dated 31.12.2004.

4. Learned Government Advocate submits that compensation would be disbursed subject to verification of the relevant documents.
5. The deed of indenture bears registration No.1034 of 1963. The settlement deed was registered as document No.9109 of 2004. These document numbers are duly reflected in the encumbrance certificate relating to the property. Therefore, it is possible to verify the genuineness and authenticity of these documents before making disbursement.

For the reasons aforesaid, this Writ Petition is disposed of by directing the second respondent to verify the certified copies of the document No.1034 of 1963 and document No.9109 of 2004 and, thereafter, make disbursement to the petitioner. This exercise shall be carried out within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
