PRAYER: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a writ of certiorarified mandamus calling for the records connected with the petitioner's certificate verification results declaring "Not within the selection cut-off zone" in the selection process of direct recruitment of Post Graduate Assistants / Physical Education Directors Grade-I-2016-2017, published in the first respondent's official website and the quash the same as illegal consequently directing the respondents to include his name S.Thinakaran (Roll No. 17PG08020067) in the provisional selection list of candidates for the post of Post Graduate Assistants in English, within the time stipulated by this Court.

Learned counsel for the petitioner seeks permission of this Court to withdraw this writ petition in view of the fact that the prayer sought for in this writ petition has now become infructuous, since the selection list pertains

to the year 2016-2017, which has been challenged in this writ petition and he has also made an endorsement to that effect in the court bundle.
