The present Writ Petition has been filed by a Special Grade Tradesman, who retired in the respondent Corporation on 31.08.2022. His surrender leave salary has not yet been paid. Hence, he has sent a representation to the respondent on 03.06.2023. Since the representation has not been considered, the present writ petition has been filed.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Standing counsel appearing for the respondents.

3. In view of the above said facts, if the petitioner is eligible for the surrender leave salary, the same shall be disbursed to the petitioner. This Court directs the second respondent to disburse the said benefits, if he is otherwise eligible, within a period of 12 (Twelve) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. With the above said observations, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
