This Contempt Petition is filed seeking to initiate contempt proceedings against the Contemnor/Respondent No.1 for his wilful disobedience of the order passed by this Court in W.P(MD)No.19589 of 2023, dated 14.8.2023 and punish the Contemnor/first respondent under the Contempt of Courts Act.

2.Heard the learned counsel appearing on either side and perused the materials placed before this Court. 3.When the matter is taken up for hearing today, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent produced G.O(Ms)No.171, Home(Prison-IV)Department, dated 5.3.2024, stating that the life convict has been released prematurely by the Government.
