ORDER

This criminal original petition has been filed by the petitioner to direct the respondents 1 and 2 to provide adequate police protection to the life and limb of the petitioner and her family members by considering her representation dated 11.11.2024 sent to the respondents 1 and 2.

2. It is the contention of the petitioner that she borrowed loan from the third respondent bank/Equitas Small Finance Bank Limited. According to her, she is regularly paying the loan due, without fail. For the past two months, the petitioner's husband was ill health and hence, the petitioner was unable to pay the due. The grievance of the petitioner is that the third and fourth respondent/bank staff and henchman claiming as collect agent trespassed into the petitioner's house and also threatened her family members. In this regard, the petitioner made representation to the respondents 1 and 2 to provide police protection, however, the same has not been considered so far. Hence, this petition. 2/4

Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court, without going into the merits of the case, directs the second respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 11.11.2024 on merits and in accordance with law and dispose the same, after issuing notice to the bank authorities. It is made clear that the petitioner shall not harass under the guise of enquiry.

4. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
