ORDER
This writ petition is filed seeking a direction to the 1st respondent to release the 280 bags of broken rice (each contains 50kgs) seized by the 2nd respondent from the Lorry bearing registration no. TN-28-AK-8021 on 12.06.2025.
2. Mrs.D.Farjana Ghousia, learned Special Government Pleader takes notice on behalf of the respondents 1, 2 and 4. Mr.S.Prakash, learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) takes notice on behalf of the 3rd respondent.
3. When the matter is taken up for hearing today, it is informed that the enquiry is posted on 18.09.2025. Therefore, the petitioner is directed to appear before the 1st respondent on 18.09.2025 and once again submit all the relevant documents. Thereafter, the respondents shall pass suitable orders latest by 30.09.2025.

4. By way of rejoinder, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that 280 bags of rice continues to remain in the lorry and the lorry is stationed at the 3rd respondent police station.
5. In view of the same, the 3rd respondent is directed to remove the said rice bags from the lorry and store it in a safe place and consequently, release the lorry which is also in tune with the order passed by this Court in W.P(MD)No.21169 of 2025 dated 04.08.2025.
6. The writ petition stands disposed of with the above directions. No costs.
