ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition is filed for a direction to the respondents 1 to 3 not to harass the petitioner on the guise of the enquiry on the complaint given by the third respondent.

2. According to the petitioner, the respondents 1 and 2 are interfering in the civil dispute.

3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor, on instructions, would submit that the respondent police would not interfere in a civil dispute. The enquiry is being conducted only to ascertain if any cognizable offence is made out and the enquiry will be completed within a period of one week.

4. It is needless to say that the respondents 1 and 2 should not interfere in any civil matter. The second respondent shall conduct the enquiry only to the limited extent of ascertaining whether a cognizable 2/4

offence is made out, complete the enquiry within a period of one week, and inform the petitioner about the result of enquiry.

5. With the above observation, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
