....Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the 1st respondent to supply a copy of the building plan approval, structural stability certificate, norms and guidelines for construction of marriage hall etc., pertaining to the Naachiyaar Marriage Hall Comprised in T.S.27, Old Survey No.477/10, R.S.No.173/2, Sundarar Street, Palayamkottai, Tirunelveli District by considering petitioner's appeal dated 19.04.2025.

ORDER

The petitioner had applied for copies of the documents relating to the construction of a Marriage Hall. Since the information requested for was not provided by the third respondent, the matter was carried in an appeal to the second respondent and thereafter to the first respondent. By this writ petition, the petitioner seeks earlier disposal of the appeal before the first respondent. 2.Mr.Ananth C.Rajesh, learned Counsel, accepts notice for the first respondent and Mr.S.P.Maharajan, learned Special Government Pleader, accepts notice on behalf of the second and third respondents. 3.Learned Special Government Pleader for the first respondent submits that the relief prayed for by the petitioner cannot be granted in this proceedings and that the appeal has not been lodged in the proper format. He also submits that a communication dated 04.09.2025 was issued to the petitioner in that regard.

4.Given the nature of relief claimed, this writ petition stands disposed of with the following directions:- a)the petitioner shall submit an appeal in the prescribed format within one week from the date of receipt of a copy of this order; and b)within four months from the date of receipt thereof, the first respondent shall dispose of the appeal on merits after providing a reasonable opportunity to the petitioner. No costs.
