in the order in W.P.(MD).No.11182/2010 dated 02.12.2010 and its functioning is in force ;

ii. to ban the procedure adopted by the 2nd and 3rd respondents by insisting the public to furnish the registration particulars of the goods vehicle, against the proposed and forthcoming transportation of the river sand and the consent of the vehicle owner, at the time of registration itself for the sand purchase.

ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by the Hon'ble the Chief Justice) Mr.Thilak Kumar states that the State is not permitting quarrying and trading on river sand. Mr.Thilak Kumar, on instructions, states that the State Level Monitoring Committee, as directed by this Court vide dated 02.12.2010 in W.P.(MD).No.11182 of 2010, is yet to be constituted and until the same is constituted, quarrying and trading on river sand shall not be permitted.

2. We take the statement as an undertaking to this Court. 2/5

3. In view thereof, prayer clause (ii) has become infructuous.
