The petitioner has filed this Contempt Petiton complaining that the order of this Court passed in W.P(MD).No.7158 of 2017 dated 05.12.2023, has not been complied with.

2. Today, when this Contempt Petition is taken up for hearing. The learned Special Government Pleader, by producing a proceedings dated 10.12.2024, submits that the District Collector, Madurai, has conducted an enquiry as directed by this Court in W.P(MD).No.7158 of 2017 and rejected the request of the petitioner. A copy of the proceedings of the District Collector, Madurai, passed in Na.Ka.No.30514/2015/J1, dated 10.12.2024, has also been furnished to the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner as well as to the Court.

3. Recording the submission made by the learned Special Government Pleader, this Contempt Petition is closed with the liberty to the petitioner to challenge the proceedings dated 10.12.2024 in the manner known to law.
