PRAYER IN CRL A(MD) No.884/2022:

Pleased to take this criminal appeal on file, call for the records from the Court below, hear the counsel for the appellant/accused, set aside the conviction and sentence passed by the learned Special Judge, Special Court for trial of prevention of Corruption Act Cases, Madurai in Special Case No.2 of 2018 dated 14.12.2022, refund the fine amount.

Order : This Criminal Miscellaneous Petition coming up for orders on this day, upon perusing the petition filed in support thereof and upon hearing the arguments of M/S.S.RAJASEKAR, Advocate for M/S.LAJAPATHI ROY AND ASSOCIATES, for the petitioner and of Mr.B.NAMBI SELVAN, Additional Public Prosecutor on behalf of the Respondent, the Court made the following order:- This petition has been filed to relax the condition imposed on the petitioner in Crl.M.P(MD).No.16464 of 2022 in Crl.A.(MD)No.884 of 2022 dated 02.02.2023. 2.The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner has been complying with the condition imposed by this court regularly. 3.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent police submitted that the petitioner has been complying with the condition regularly.

4.Considering the nature of offence, the condition imposed by this court in Crl.M.P(MD).No.16464 of 2022 in Crl.A.(MD)No.884 of 2022 dated 02.02.2023 is modified and the petitioner shall report before the trial Court once in a month i.e on the 1st working day of every English calendar month at 10.30 a.m until further orders.
