ORDER

This writ petition was filed seeking for a mandamus directing the first respondent, Commissioner of Madurai Corporation to display the daily rent (license fee) for the shops run by the petitioner in Karimedu Fish Market and to forbear the second respondent from demanding/collecting license fee over and above the daily rent fixed by the Corporation and for other consequential reliefs. 2.Today, when the writ petition is taken up for hearing, the learned counsel appearing on behalf of the first respondent submits that the Karimedu Fish Market has been shifted to Mattuthavani. Further, the second respondent was 2/4

issued with the license to collect daily rent/license fee from the vendors of the fish market only for a period of three years and that period was already over in the year 2018 itself and the subsequent developments rendered the writ petition infructuous.

3.Recording the submissions made by the learned counsel for the first respondent, this writ petition is dismissed as infructuous. No costs.
