PRAYER: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a writ of habeas corpus calling for the entire records connected with the detention order of the Respondent No.2 in M.H.S.Confdl No.70/2024 dated 07.09.2024 and quash the same and direct the respondents to produce the body or person of the detenu by name Kumar, son of Thoondilkalai, aged about 39 years now detained as "sexual offender' at Palaymkottai Central Prison before this Court and set him at liberty.

[Order of the Court was made by C.V.KARTHIKEYAN, J.] The petitioner has filed this habeas corpus petition seeking to quash the detention order passed by the second respondent in M.H.S.Confdl No.70/2024 dated 07.09.2024 and direct the respondents to produce the body or person of the detenu by name Kumar, S/o. Thoondilkalai, aged about 39 years, who is now detained as "sexual offender' at Palaymkottai Central Prison, before this Court.

2.It is reported that the detention order had been passed on 07.09.2024 and the period of detention is over. Therefore, no issue arises for adjudication. 3.Thus, the Habeas Corpus Petition is dismissed as infructuous.
