Prayer : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the Respondents to issue Royatwari Patta to the petitioner according to Section 11, 12, 13, 14 of Tamilnadu Estates (Abolition and Conversion into Ryotwari) Act, 1948 situated in Jameen Survey No.161/2P, 161P, New Survey No.120/1 having Patta No.328 at Kututangkadu Village, Thoothukudi Taluk, Thoothukudi District and dispose of the same based on the petitioner's representation dated 05.09.2022 within the time limit that may be stipulated by this Court. ORDER

Heard the learned counsel on either side.

2. The petitioner seeks issuance of ryotwari patta for the petition mentioned land. The first respondent is directed to consider the petition mentioned representation and pass final orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The first respondent shall put all the interested persons on notice before passing final order. I have not gone into the issue of competency or jurisdiction of the first respondent to entertain the petition mentioned representation. It is for the first respondent to take a call in the matter. It is open to the first respondent to pass order one way or the other.

3. This Writ Petition is disposed of accordingly. There shall be no order as to costs.
