O R D E R

The petitioner states that the land admeasuring 24 cents in survey No.89/7 was jointly owned by four persons, as per the chitta in page 12 of the typed set. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the fourth respondent, who is the grandson of C.Vaiyapuri Konar and C.Karuppa Konar, unlawfully obtained patta No.1303. Therefore, the petitioner submitted representations seeking cancellation thereof.

2. Learned Special Government Pleader accepts notice on behalf of respondents 1 to 3. By referring to a communication dated 09.05.2025 from the Revenue Divisional Officer, he submits that a report has been called for from the Tahsildar and that further action would be taken on that basis.

3. In view of these submissions, this Writ Petition is disposed of without making any observations on the merits by directing the second respondent to consider the petitioner's request for cancellation of patta 2/4

No.1303 and issue a speaking order after providing a reasonable opportunity to the petitioner, the fourth respondent and the other claimants as per the chitta issued in 2021. This exercise shall be concluded within twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
