ORDER
The present Writ Petition has been filed for Mandamus to direct the second respondent to admit the petitioner in the NEET - PG (MD) based on the petitioner's application made seeking admission into NEET-PG for the year 2024 by considering his application dated 16.09.2024 made for conversion from Indian National to NRI within a time fixed by this Court.

The learned Senior Counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner completed MBBS course in the year 2021 and had passed in the NEET PG examination by securing All India Rank No.126990 for PG Medical course. The petitioner had made an application on 16.09.2024 for conversion of nationality from Indian to NRI for PG Round - I along with all necessary documents as his paternal cousin sister, namely, Daphne Kumaradhas is an NRI residing in Canada, who stand as a sponsor. She had also given necessary certificates including passport, 2/5
salary details, relationship certificate issued by the Tahsildar, Agastheeswaram etc. However, the petitioner's case was not considered so far for admission under NRI quota. Hence, this Writ Petition came to be filed. (*)

Without going into the merits of the case, this Court direct the second respondent to consider the petitioner's application dated 16.09.2024 made for conversion of his case from Indian National to NRI forthwith, since counselling is going on. It is pertinent to mention here that the petitioner's name is included in Serial No.93 in the provisional list for eligible NRI candidates published by the State of Tamil Nadu for admission to PG Management quota 2024-2025 session.
4. Accordingly, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition stands closed.
