This case came up for settlement before the Lok Adalat. Both the parties present. The counsel for the appellant Mr.S.Sathyachidambaram and Mr.S.Devarajan, counsel for the respondents are present. After mutual discussion, negotiation, mediation and conciliation between both parties and with the assistance of the Bench, both sides consented for settlement. AWARD As against the order of maintenance granted by the trial Court under Section 125 Cr.P.C., awarding a sum of Rs.8,000/- (Rupees Eight Thousand only) per month to the wife and a sum of Rs.6,000/- (Rupees Six Thousand only) per month to the minor son with effect from 12.07.2023, the present Criminal Revision Case has been preferred by the husband.

2. Today, the matter is posted before the Lok Adalat. Both the parties and their respective

counsel are present. Both the parties submitted that they have arrived at a consensus and the respondents are willing to receive a sum of Rs.7,500/- (Rupees Seven Thousand five hundred only) per month i.e., sum of Rs.4,000/- (Rupees Four Thousand only) for the maintenance of the second respondent / son and sum of Rs.3,500/- (Rupees Three Thousand Five Hundred only) for the maintenance of the first respondent / wife.

3. It is submitted that they have also agreed that the arrears in respect of sum of Rs.7,500/- with effect from 12.07.2023, after deducting a sum of Rs.10,000/- already deposited by the husband, will be paid in two installments by the petitioner/husband i.e., 50% will be paid within a period of thirty days from today and the balance amount will be paid within a period of sixty days thereafter and the petitioner shall pay the monthly maintenance of Rs.7,500/-, as agreed today, will be paid by him without any default on or before 5th day of every English Calender Month. As both the parties arrived at a settlement and expressed their consensus, the same is recorded and the Civil Miscellaneous Appeal is disposed of accordingly.

The full Court fee paid shall be refunded to the appellant in the manner provided under Section 69-A of the Tamilnadu Court Fees and Suits Valuation Act, 1955 and the Court Fees Act, 1870 as provided for under sub Sec.1 of Section 21 r/w 25 of LSA Act 1987 as amended in 1994.

The Original of the award shall be place in the court record and copy of the award, kept with High Court Legal Services Committee and one copy each is furnished to both parties free of cost.

In agreement of the above, both parties and their counsel have affixed their signatures/ thumb impressions in presence of the Lok Adalat Bench admitting the terms and today conditions and accordingly, the award is passed.
