The writ petition has been filed for a writ of mandamus to direct the respondents to grant ordinary leave for 3 months without escort for treatment to the detenu, Murugesan, S/o.Mariappan bearing PID. No. 220843, serving life sentence at Palayamkottai Central Prison by considering the representation of the petitioner dated 11.08.2025.

2. When the writ petition is taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that the representation of the petitioner has been considered and the 1st respondent has rejected the same on 10.09.2025.

In view of the above, since the 1st respondent has already considered and rejected the representation of the petitioner seeking ordinary leave for three months on 10.09.2025, the writ petition is dismissed as infructuous. However, the petitioner is at liberty to work out her remedy in the manner known to law, if she is aggrieved by the rejection order.
