Criminal Original Petition is filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C, to accept the surrender of the petitioners before the Special Court for S.C/S.T (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, ie., the 1st Additional District and Sessions Judge at Thanjavur in connection with the Cr.No.617 of 2023 on the file of the 2nd respondent police and to consider the bail application filed by the petitioners on the same day. ORDER:- This Criminal Miscellaneous petition is coming on for orders on this day and upon perusing the petition and upon hearing the arguments of Mr. K.M.Karunakaran, Advocate for the Petitioner and of Mr. M.Vaikkam Karunanithi Government Advocate (Crl. Side), for the respondents No.1 and 2, this Court made the following order:

This petition has been filed to extend the time limit to comply with the condition prescribed in the order in Crl.O.P(MD) No.17165 of 2023 dated 26.09.2023.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioners seeks time to produce the sureties. Due to fever and they were not aware of the receipt of the said order copy, the petitioners are unable to execute sureties, within the stipulated time prescribed by this Court.

3. In view of the same, time granted by this Court vide order in Crl.O.P(MD) No.17165 of 2023 is extended further for a period of fifteen days from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
