PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, to call for the records pertaining to the Impugned work order dated 18.09.2017 in Lr.No.SE/ VGTPS/ RMD/ AEE/ MM/ CHD/ F.WC.No.54/17-18/P.R.No.66-1/7 issued by the Respondent No.5 in favour of the Respondent No.6 and quash the same as illegal and consequently direct the Respondent No.5 to conduct the fresh auction of above said works in Valuthur Gas Turbine Power Station with following the regular Bid qualification requirements (BQR) within the time frame stipulated by this Court. This writ petition is filed as against the work order issued by the Superintendent Engineer, Valuthur Gas Turbine Power Station, Ramanathapuram District in favour of one S.Barath/the sixth respondent herein for carrying out regular electrical 2/5
maintenance works of various equipments in the respondent Corporation.
2.Today(03.01.2024), when this writ petition is taken up for hearing, the learned counsel appearing for the writ petitioner seeks permission of this Court to withdraw this writ petition as the matter has now become infructuous. He has also made an endorsement to that effect.
