ORDER
The instant writ petition has been filed by a driver of the respondent transport corporation seeking a mandamus to retain the petitioner in supernumerary post until the suitable post is made available and pay salary as per Section 20(4) of the Rights of the Person with Disabilities Act, 2016. 2.According to the learned Counsel for the petitioner, the petitioner had undergone heart surgery and is having 58% of hearing disability as per the report of Rajiv Gandhi Government General Hospital, Madras Medical College Chennai.
3.In view of the disability of the writ petitioner, the petitioner had made a request for providing alternative employment. Since the said request was not considered, the present writ petition has been filed. 4.The learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondent has brought to the notice of the Court that the respondent had directed the Branch Manager to provide alternative employment to the writ petitioner. Pursuant to the said direction, the petitioner is joining as Lubricant in the Technical Section.
5.In view of the order passed by the respondent Transport Corporation, no further adjudication is called for. Accordingly, this writ petition stands closed. No costs.
