Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 and 2 to rectify the mistake in the patta transfer orders dated 03.09.2025 and 05.09.2025 in TR No.2025/0103/30/760318TR and TR No.2025/0103/30/760324TR by including the name of legal heirs of Chellam Nadar son of Arumuga Sundaram, after replacing the name of deceased Chellam Nadar son of Arumuga Sundaram as per online applications dated 19.08.2025.

O R D E R

A joint patta had been issued inter alia in the name of the petitioner's father-in-law, Chellam Nadar. Upon his death, the petitioner had requested that mutation be effected in the patta so as to include the names of the legal heirs of the deceased Chellam Nadar. Instead, the same names were reflected in the patta transfer order without including the legal heirs. Therefore, this Writ Petition has been filed.

2. Learned Special Government Pleader accepts notice on behalf of all the respondents. He submits that the request of the petitioner would be considered and disposed of on merits within 12 weeks.

3. Accordingly, without making any observations on the merits, this Writ Petition is disposed of by directing the first respondent to consider and dispose of the petitioner's request for rectification of the patta transfer order within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of 2/4

receipt of a copy of this order after providing a reasonable opportunity to the petitioner and all other persons who would be affected by such order. No costs.
