09.08.2017 and quash the same and direct the respondents to fix the uniform minimum passing percentage marks and attendance marks to the practical, non practical and vocational students without any discrimination.

(Order of the Court was made by R.MAHADEVAN, J.) Challenging the Government Order in G.O.(2D).No.50, School Education (GE1) Department, dated 09.08.2017, the instant writ petition has been filed by the petitioner.
2. Today, when the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents submitted that pursuant to the filing of the writ petition, the Government has passed G.O.(2D).No.13, School Education Department, dated 20.02.2018 and hence, nothing survives in this writ petition for further adjudication.
3. In view of the subsequent G.O.(2D).No.13, School Education Department, dated 20.02.2018 and also recording the above submissions, this writ petition stands closed. However, it is always open to the petitioner to approach the authority concerned, to redress his grievance. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
