Prayer : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the first respondent to conclude the enquiry for the issuance of death certificate of the petitioner's mother in O.Mu.A4/038/2024 dated 12.01.2024 within the time frame stipulated by this Court.

Heard both sides.

2.The petitioner claims that his mother Velammal passed away on 29.03.2020. He wants the first respondent to issue death certificate. In this regard, the second respondent is conducting enquiry. The petitioner's grievance is that the matter is pending for more than one year and is yet to be concluded.

3.I direct the first respondent to conclude the enquiry and dispose of the writ petitioner's application within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. I make it clear that I have not 2/4

gone into the merits of the matter. It is for the petitioner to place all the relevant materials in support of his claim before the respondents 1 and 2. 4.This Writ Petition is disposed of accordingly.
