O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking a Writ of Mandamus, directing the third respondent to take appropriate action for laying the road in the pathway in S.No.6, 9, 10, 16 and 58 with a culvert over the channel running across the said pathway, for reaching the house sites in S.No.7/1 as found in Topo Sketch of the Silayaneri Village, Madurai North Taluk within a time to be fixed by this Court.

2. When the matter was taken up for hearing earlier on 08.03.2024, the learned Government Advocate appearing for the official respondents submitted that the petitioner was reported dead and at request of the petitioner's counsel the matter was adjourned to 04.06.2024 and 19.06.2024. When the matter was taken up for hearing on 19.06.2024, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner reported no instructions, as the letter sent to the petitioner's legal representatives was returned and hence, the Registry was directed to post the matter on 02.07.2024 under the caption 'for dismissal'. 2/4

3. When the matter is taken up for hearing today (i.e.,02.07.2024), there is no representation for the petitioner. Hence, the Writ Petition is dismissed for default. No costs.
