Prayer : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to provide sufficient compensation to the petitioners for their acquired lands in R.S.No.51/1B admeasuring an extent of extent of 0.40.5 ares and R.S.No.51/3B1 admeasuring an extent of extent of 0.20.5 ares of Shanmugakumarapuram Village, Kadaladi Taluk, Ramanathapuram District by the proceedings of the 1st respondent vide Na.Ka.No.2/19437/94 dated 15.12.1995.

ORDER

Heard both sides.

2.It is seen that petition mention lands were acquired way back in the year 1994. The acquired lands have since been redistributed among the landless poor. It is stated by the respondents that the compensation amount has also been deposited in the treasury. 2/4

3.The petitioners are therefore permitted to approach the second respondent by filing a formal petition. As and when such a petition is submitted by the petitioners, the second respondent will collect the account details and other documents and disburse the compensation amount that is due to them. The entire exercise shall be completed within a period of eight weeks after the petition is received from the writ petitioners herein.
