ORDER

The petitioner has filed this writ petition for a mandamus directing the respondent to issue patta to the property in New Survey No.466, Old Survey No.256, measuring an extent of 4 1⁄2 cents situated at Sayarpuram Kattalankulam Village, Thoothukudi District, by considering the petitioner's representation dated 10.08.2017.

2. When the writ petition is taken up for hearing, the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondent, based on the written instructions, submits that the request of the petitioner was already rejected by the respondent on 19.03.2024.

3. Though it is represented that the request of the petitioner was rejected, this order has not been communicated to the petitioner. The respondent is duty bound to furnish the copy of the order to the petitioner. Therefore, the respondent is directed to communicate the rejection order to the petitioner within a period four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. It is left open to the petitioner to

challenge the same in the manner known to law. Accordingly, this Writ Petition is closed.
