The Writ Petition is directed against the communication dated 20.10.2017 sent by the second respondent and for direction to the respondents to extend the period of lease of the writ petitioner for 5 years from July 2014 to June 2019 in respect of Mela Chokkanathapuram Sankararappa Naicken Kanmoi, Bodinaickanur Taluk, Theni District with an increase of 10% lease every year as per G.O.Ms.No.332 Animal Husbandry and Fisheries (FS-IV) Department dated 17.11.1993 within a reasonable time.
2. In the writ petition, extension of lease is sought for five years for the period between July-2014 and June-2019 in respect of Mela Chokkanathapuram Sankararappa Naicken Kanmoi, Bodinaickanur 2/4
Taluk, Theni District and as rightly contended by the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents, the said period is already over and hence, the prayer has become infructuous. Accordingly, this Writ Petition is dismissed as infructuous. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petitions are closed. No costs. 22.04.2024.
