same as there is a wrong entry in Patta No. 2594, (Old Patta No. 211), Survey no.120/2 (Old Survey number), measuring to an extent of 0.15.5 Ares equal to 38 cents, Aavanam Village, Peravurani Taluk, Thanjavur District and quash the same and consequently, direct the respondent No.3 to issue new patta to the petitioner with new survey number in his name after giving proper opportunity for production of necessary documents to substantiate his rights by considering his representation dated 20.08.2025.

By this Writ Petition, the petitioner challenges a patta issued in the name of the private respondents herein under patta No.2594.

2. Learned Special Government Pleader accepts notice on behalf of the respondents 1 to 3. He has placed on record the patta transfer order dated 23.01.2024. He submits that the said order should be challenged in accordance with law.

3. Under the Tamil Nadu Patta Passbook Act, 1983, an appeal remedy is available before the jurisdictional Revenue Divisional Officer. 2/4

The petitioner appears to have received the patta transfer order today in Court. Therefore, if the petitioner files an appeal within a period of thirty

(30) days from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, the Revenue Divisional Officer/second respondent is directed to receive and dispose of the same on merits without going into the question of limitation.
