PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the third respondent to disburse the balance amount of Rs.83,084/- in respect of construction of a drinking water well and pipeline works carried out at Raviputhenthurai for the financial year 2015-2016 in Thoothoor Panchayat under the Munjirai Panchayat Union in the light of the proceedings initiated in Na.Ka.No.E1/1900/2022 dated 16.11.2022 by the second respondent within a stipulated time.

The present writ petition has been filed seeking a mandamus directing the respondents to disburse the balance amount of Rs.83,084/- in respect of the construction of a drinking water well and pipeline works carried out at Raviputhenthurai for the financial year 2015-2016.

2. The learned counsel appearing for the third respondent, on written instructions, submitted that a sum of Rs.86,078/- would be disbursed to the writ petitioner within a period of eight (8) weeks. 2/5

3. Recording the said submission, a direction is issued to the third respondent to disburse the above amount within a period of eight (8) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Accordingly, this writ petition stands closed. No costs.
