... Respondents Prayer: Contempt Petition filed under Section 11 of the Contempt of Courts Act, 1971 to punish the respondents herein for wilful disobedience of the order passed by this Court in W.P.(MD). No.19553 of 2014, dated 23.07.2015.

Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court To issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to settle the petitioner s retirement benefits including surrender leave salary, gratuity, pension arrears and all other attendant retirement benefits etc., with interest at the rate of not less than 12% per annum payable from the date of retirement and (ii) further directing the respondents to pay interest at the rate of 12% per annum for the belated settlement of retirement benefit such as provident fund to the petitioner payable from the date of retirement i.e., from 31.08.2012 to till the date of actual payment to the petitioner within the time that may be stiipulated by this Hon'ble Court.

2. The learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents on instructions would submit that the amount due and payable to the writ petitioner shall be paid within a period of two months from today.
