Madurai 625 016 by considering his Representation dated 17.02.2016 to release his Terminal Benefits with interest 1. Gratuity, 2. Earn Leave surrender amount 3. DA Arrears and 4. ERBS Arrears amount. O R D E R
This Court, by an order dated 23.03.2016 in W.P.(MD).No.5709 of 2016 had directed the respondents to pay the amount due to the petitioner in twelve equal installments commencing from 10.04.2016 and in case of delay in making installments, the interest payable could be 18% for the delayed period. Since the respondents herein have not complied with the same, the petitioner has come up with this contempt petition.
2.Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, Mr.C.B.Elangovan, the Managing Director, Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation, Madurai Division, who is personally present before this Court.
3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the order has been complied with except the portion for payment of interest for the delayed period.
4.The learned counsel for the first respondent also assures that the said amount will be paid within a period of two months. 5.The said submission is recorded. If the amount is not paid, it is open to the petitioner to revive this contempt petition. 6.Accordingly, this Contempt Petition is closed. No costs.
