..Respondents Petition filed under Section 11 of the Contempt of Court Act to punish the respondents herein for wilfull disobedience to the order dated 20.04.2016 made in W.P.(MD).No.15728 of 2013 passed by this Court.

Prayer in WP(MD). 15728/ 2013 :

Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Certiorari to call for the records relating to the impugned order passed by the first respondent herein in his proceedings TDP. Case No. 12B/2012 dated 31/05/2013 and quash the same, and grant all consequential service and monetary benefits or any other appropriate Writ, Order, Direction in the nature of a Writ or another appropriate relief as this Honble Court. ORDER

This Court by the order, dated 20.04.2016, issued a direction to the respondents therein to issue necessary orders regarding the claim of the petitioner for his promotion within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of the copy of that order. 2.Contending that the conduct exhibited by the respondents amounted to willfull disobedience to the order passed by this Court, the present Contempt Petition has been filed. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 3.When the Contempt Petition is taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Advocate General appearing for the respondents,

has given an assurance that the Government have decided not to take up the matter in appeal, in view of the legal opinion given in this case and there is also an assurance that the promotion to the post of Deputy Superintendent of Police, in respect of the petitioner's claim, would be considered positively, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4.Recording the said submission, the contempt petition is closed.
