Criminal Original Petition is filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C, to direct the learned Principal and District Sessions Judge and (Special Court for Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, Srivilliputhur at Virudhunagar District to accept the surrender of the petitioner and consider his bail application and grant bail on the same day of surrender itself in connection with the case in Crime No.318 of 2023, registered on 07.08.2023 on the file of the second respondent Police.
ORDER:- This Criminal Miscellaneous petition is coming on for orders on this day and upon perusing the petition and upon hearing the arguments of Mr. N.Balasubramanian, Advocate for the Petitioner and of Mr. M.Vaikkam Karunanithi Government Advocate (Crl. Side), Government Advocate for the respondents No.1 and 2, this Court made the following order:
This petition has been filed to extend the time limit to comply with the condition prescribed in the order in Crl.O.P(MD) No.16135 of 2023 dated 11.09.2023.
2. The learned counsel for the petitioner seeks time to produce the sureties, since the petitioner is unable to execute sureties, within the stipulated time prescribed by this Court.
3. In view of the same, time granted by this Court vide order in Crl.O.P(MD) No.16135 of 2023 is extended further for a period of fifteen days from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
