Civil Revision Petition is filed under Article 227 of the Constitution of India, to direct the Sub-Court, Devakottai, Sivagangai District, to dispose of the suit in O.S.No.187 of 2021 expeditiously within the time frame as may be fixed by this Court by allowing this Civil Revision Petition.

ORDER

This Civil Revision Petition has been filed seeking a direction to dispose the suit in O.S.No.187 of 2021, pending on the file of the SubCourt, Devakottai, Sivagangai District.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for petitioner. Since the revision is filed for seeking early disposal, no notice is necessary to the respondent.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the revision petitioner would submit that the petitioner herein has filed a suit in O.S.No.187 of 2017 on the file of the Sub-Court, Devakottai, Sivagangai District, seeking relief of recovery of money to the tune of Rs.7,00,00/- along with interest at the rate of 1% per month from the date of the Plaint till the disposal of the suit. He would further submit that that the respondent had filed a written statement only on 29.10.2024 and the above said case is pending without any progress for the past three years only for the purpose of written statement. Hence, the petitioner has come forward with the present Civil Revision 2/4

Having been taken into consideration of the material facts and circumstances and that the suit is of the year 2021, this Court is of the view that in the interest of justice, a direction may be issued to the learned Judge, Sub Court, Devakottai, Sivagangai District, to dispose of the said suit as expeditiously as possible.

5. Accordingly, this Civil Revision Petition is disposed of with a direction to the learned Judge, Sub Court, Devakottai, Sivagangai District, to dispose of the suit in O.S.No.187 of 2021, pending on his file within a period of six (6) months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order on merits and in accordance with law. No costs.
