ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed, invoking Section 482 Cr.P.C., seeking orders to direct the respondent Police to file a final report before the Special Court for POCSO Act Cases, Tirunelveli pending investigation in Crime No.17 of 2022 on the file of the first respondent Police.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondent.

3. When the matter is taken up for hearing today, the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondent would submit that they have taken steps for examination of seven witnesses under Section 161 Cr.P.C and since the accused is absconding, they are taking steps to secure him and to complete the investigation. 2/4

4. Recording the submission made by the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side), the respondent police is directed to complete the investigation and file final report in Crime No.17 of 2022 before the jurisdictional Court, within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of.
