.. Contemnors/Respondents PRAYER: Contempt Petition is filed under Section 11 of Contempt of Courts Act 1971, to punish the respondents 1 and 2 for their wilful disobedience of the order passed by this Court, in W.P. (MD) No.5125 of 2016, dated 15.03.2016.

Prayer in WP(MD). 5125/ 2016 :

Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the first respondent to consider the service rendered by the Petitioner between 07.07.1981 to 31.05.1986 for the purpose of Pension and consequently revise the pension of the petitioner by taking into consideration of her service of 4 years nine months and 1 day served under Social Welfare Department. O R D E R

This Court, by order dated 15.03.2016, in W.P.(MD).No.5125 of 2016 directed the first respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 13.08.2015, in the light of Rule 23 of the Tamil Nadu Pension Rules and also in the light of a decision of this https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

Court in W.P.(MD).No.21959 of 2015, dated 18.12.2015 (R.Durairaj Vs. the Secretary to the Government Education Department, Chennai and others) and pass appropriate orders on the same on merits and in accordance with law within a period of six weeks. Since the respondents herein have not complied with the same, the petitioner has come up with this contempt petition.

2. Today, when the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned counsel appearing for the second respondent submitted that the order passed in the writ petition has already been complied with and nothing survives in this contempt petition.

3.Recording the above submission, this Contempt Petition is closed. No costs.
