PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to grant permission and to provide Police protection to conduct the Kabadi Competition from 23.12.2023 to 25.12.2023 in the playground, which is situated at Pannankombu, Manapparai Taluk, Trichy District, based on the petitioners representation dated 09.10.2023. This Writ Petition is filed directing the respondents to grant permission and to provide Police protection to conduct the Kabadi Competition from 23.12.2023 to 25.12.2023 in the playground, which is situated at Pannankombu, Manapparai Taluk, Trichy District, based on the petitioners representation dated 09.10.2023.
2. Mr.R.M.Anbunithi, learned Additional Public Prosecutor takes notice for the respondents.

4. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that the period mentioned in the petition to conduct the Kabadi competition is already over.
