Respondents PRAYER : Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issue of a Writ of Habeas Corpus calling for the entire records connected with the detention order passed by the second respondent in Cr.M.P.No.86/2019, dated 17.12.2019 and quash the same as illegal and direct the respondents to produce the body and person of the petitioner's husband / detenu P.Prabhakaran, son of Pichaimuthu, aged about 30 years, residence of No.190, Kudiyana Street, South Chithambur, Musiri Taluk, Trichy District, now detained as "SAND OFFENDER" at Central Prison, Trichirappalli, before this Court and set him at liberty. (Order of the Court was made by K.KALYANASUNDARAM, J.) This habeas corpus petition has been filed by the wife of the detenu, namely, P.Prabhakaran, son of Pichaimuthu, aged about 30 years, assailing the order of detention passed by the second respondent in Cr.M.P.No.86/2019, dated 17.12.2019, wherein he has been branded as "Sand Offender" as contemplated under Section 2 (gg) of the Tamil Nadu Act 14 of 1982.

2. Mr.P.Ganapathi Subramanian, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.V.Neelakandan, learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the respondents, by producing a copy of G.O.Rt.No.591, Home, Prohibition & Excise (XII) Department, dated 04.02.2020, submitted that the impugned detention order has been revoked by the Government.

3. Recording the above submission, the habeas corpus petition is closed.
