The instant writ petition has been filed by the wife of a deceased Village Assistant, seeking a mandamus to consider her request for compassionate appointment.

2. According to the learned Counsel appearing for the writ petitioner, the petitioner's husband who was working as a Village Assistant had passed away on 01.04.2023, while he was in service. The petitioner herein has given a representation on 22.05.2023, seeking compassionate appointment. According to the petitioner, she has enclosed all the certificates along with application. So far no orders have been passed by the fourth respondent herein. Hence, the present writ petition has been filed.

3. Considering the above said facts, the fourth respondent is directed to consider the request of the petitioner on merits and in accordance with law within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. With the above said observations, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
