For Petitioner : Mr.M.Karthikeya Venkatachalapathy For Respondents : Mr.R.Suresh Kumar Government Advocate (Criminal Side) COMMON ORDER These contempt petitions have been filed to punish the respondents for their willful disobedience of the order passed by this Court, dated 18/10/2023, in WP(MD)Nos.24767 and 24768 of 2023.
2.When the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Advocate) would submit that similar contempt petitions have been filed 2/5
before the Principal seat of this court in Cont.P.SR.No. 161527 of 2023, and Cont.P Nos.2717 to 2721, 2868, 2873, 2931 to 2933, 2993 to 2997 of 2023 and 3007 to 3014 of 2023. Considering the subsequent events and the undertaking by the respondents/contemnors that in future, there should not be any unfair restrictions for the RSS organizers to conduct their route march. Considering the proposal given by D.G.P. Pursuant to the Hon'ble Supreme Court direction, those contempt petitions have been closed by the Principal Seat of Court, on 05/01/2024. Since, the present contempt petitions are also on the very same footing, these petitions may also be closed. 3.The above said fact is not disputed by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner.
4.Recording the above said submission of the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side), these contempt petitions are closed. No costs.
