.. Respondent/ Respondent PRAYER: Contempt Petition is filed under Section 11 of Contempt of Courts Act 1971, to punish the respondent for his wilful disobedience of the order passed by this Court, in W.P. (MD) No.11138 of 2015, dated 16.02.2016.

Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court To issue a writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to regularize service from 17.06.2000 and confer all monitory benefits and all other consequential benefits including the old pension scheme with GPF to the petitioner within a stipulate time as that of the similarly placed person For Petitioner : No appearance For Respondent : Mr.D.Muruganandham Additional Government Pleader

O R D E R

This Court, by an order dated 16.02.2016 in W.P.(MD).No.11138 of 2015 had directed the respondent herein to regularize the service of the petitioner on completion of 10 years of service as per G.O.Ms.No.267, Rural Development (E-7) Department, dated 22.12.1999, within a period of four weeks. Since the respondent herein has not complied with the same, the petitioner has come up with this contempt petition.

2. Today, when the matter was taken up for hearing, none appeared for the learned counsel for the petitioner.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the respondent, by producing the proceedings in Na.Ka.m1/2043/2015, dated 12.08.2017 and Na.Ka.gt6/3366/2015, dated 17.08.2017 respectively, submitted that as per the above said proceedings, the petitioner service has been regularised from the date of completion of his 10 years service as daily wage employee and he has been issued with a cheque for a sum of Rs.1,73,652/- (Rupees one lakh seventy three thousand six hundred and fifty two only) for arrears of salary and the same was also acknowledged by the petitioner. 4.Recording the above submission, this Contempt Petition is closed. No costs.
