... Respondent Prayer: This contempt petition is filed under Section 11 of the Contempt of the Courts Act, 1971 to initiate the contempt proceedings by way of punishing the respondent police for wilful disobedience this Honourable Court's order dated 03.12.2015 in Crl.OP.(MD)No.22872 of 2015.

Prayer in Crl.OP(MD)No.22872 /2015:- Criminal Original Petition is filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C., praying to direct the respondent to expedite the investigation in Crime No.848 of 2013, dated 21.11.2013 on the file of the respondent Police and file a final report within a time stipulated by this Court.

O R D E R

This contempt petition has been filed for punishing the respondent for having not obeyed the order of this Court made in Crl.O.P(MD)No.22872 of 2015 dated 03.12.2015. 2.It is represented by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor that inadvertently without realising the fact that the case was closed as undetected on 25.06.2015, submissions have been made on 03.12.2015 and this Court directed the respondent to file final report and now, the referred charge sheet has been served on the petitioner.

3.In view of the above submission that even before the order dated 03.12.2015, the case was closed as undetected on 25.06.2015, this Contempt Petition is closed. It is open to the petitioner to file protest petition and agitate her rights in accordance with law.
