ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed challenging the appointment of the third respondent as Village Assistant.

2. The petitioner's contention is that the vacancy was allotted to the Most Backward Class category and the third respondent is not belonging to the Most Backward Class category and this is the only ground which was raised in this Writ Petition.

3. When the Writ Petition is taken up for hearing, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner is not present and the petitioner has not appeared in person.

4. The second respondent has filed a counter stating that the third respondent belongs to Perumalai Kallar which comes under Most Backward 2/4

Class. The third respondent has also produced the Community Certificate, wherein, it has been stated that the third respondent belongs to Piramalai Kallar, the Most Backward Class community. Therefore, the ground raised in this Writ Petition is incorrect and hence the Writ Petition is liable to be dismissed.

5. In view of the above, this Writ Petition is dismissed. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed. 08.11.2022 Index : Yes / No Internet : Yes/ No Nsr To 1.The District Collector, Dindigul District, Dindigul.
