Learned Counsel for the petitioner submits that the prayer sought for in this Writ Petition has now become infructuous since the petitioner has been promoted subsequent to the filing of this Writ Petition. However, at the same time he would submit that his monetary benefits are yet to be disbursed.
2.Recording the statement made by the learned Counsel for the petitioner, this Writ Petition is disposed of as infructuous. However, liberty is granted to the petitioner to give a representation to the respondents seeking payment of his monetary benefits pursuant to the petitioner's promotion and the respondents are directed to consider the said representation on merits and in accordance with law and pass final orders as expeditiously as possible.

3.Accordingly, this Writ Petition is disposed of as infructuous. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
